India Meteorological Department is Hiring M.Sc/ M.E./ M.Tech. (Geophysics or Computer Science) / Doctorate (PhD) / PG (Basic Science) candidates in New Delhi
India Meteorological Department invites applications for the following posts:
Research Scientist
Pay Scale: Rs. 35000/-per month (Fixed)
Qualification:
M.Sc/ M.E./ M.Tech. in Geophysics or Computer Science from a recognized university/ institution with first class (60%) at post Graduation level with Minimum one year experience in signal processing/ quality assurance in the areas of Geophysics/ Seismology.
Pay Scale: Rs. 35000/-per month (Fixed)

Pay Scale: Rs. 23000/-

Pay Scale: Rs. 23000/-
Qualification:
Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME / MTech.
Research Associate-III (RA-III)
Pay Scale: Rs. 24000/-
Qualification:
Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME / MTech.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Pay Scale: Rs. 16,000 /-
Qualification:
Post Graduate(PG) Degree in Basic Science and NET qualified
OR
Graduate Degree in Professional Courses and GATE or equivalent qualification / Post Graduate(PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for Lectureship
Pay Scale: Rs. 16,000 /-

OR

How To Apply:
i) Candidate must bring his resume with photocopies of the following documents/ certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
a) All degree certificates and mark sheets starting with 10th Class/HSC and up to the eligibility qualification.
b) Proof of date of birth e.g. CBSE/ HSC/ SSC/ Matriculation certification.
ii) The number of posts to be filled may vary. The Department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.
iii) No correspondence will be entertained with candidates who are not selected for appointment. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL RESULT IN DISQULIFICATION OF CANDIDATURE.
iv) Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Walk in interview will be held on 28.01.2011 at 09.30 Hrs at Mausam Bhawan, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Preference will be given to those candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the mandate of the Project. The selected candidates will be offered Fellowship at IMD for an initial period of 1 year or upto 31.03.2012 which ever is earlier and may be extended by another year based on the performance of the candidate and requirement in the Department. The above positions are purely temporary contractual and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project.
