Inland Waterways Authority of India is Hiring Graduate (Civil Engg.) candidates in 2011, Noida
Inland Waterways Authority of India, invites applications for filling up of the following posts:
Hydrographic Chief
Pay Scale: PB-4 + GP Rs. 8700
Qualification:
Officers under the Central/State Govts./port Organization/Semi-Govt. body/Public Sector Undertakings:
i) (a) Holding analogous post;
OR
(b) With 5 year’s service in the post in the PB-III Rs.15600-39,100/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- or equivalent.
i) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-
(a) Essential: Degree in Civil Engg. from a recognized University or equivalent with 15 years experience in Hydrographic and navigation.
OR
(b) Charge Surveyor of Indian Navy. Qualified in advance course in Hydrography with 15 years experience in a responsible senior position, out of which atleast 5 years in the next below level in survey with Command experience of major vessels for 3 years.
Desirable:
1. Certificate of Competency as master FG
2. Fellowship of Institutions of Surveyor.
3. Knowledge of E.D.P
4. Experience in Material Management in Survey.
5. Experience in Cartography and photogrammetry.
6. Knowledge of law of the sea and maritime affairs.

Pay Scale: PB-2 + GP Rs. 4200
Qualification:
Degree of a recognized University in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level.
Or
Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi/English with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level.
Or
Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi/English with Hindi English medium and English/Hindi compulsory / elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level. Bachelor’s degree of recognized University with Hindi & English as compulsory / elective subject plus recognized Diploma/Certificate course in Translation from Hindi to English and Vice-Versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and Vice-versa in Central/State Govt. Offices including Govt. of India Undertakings.
Pay Scale: PB-2 + GP Rs. 4200
