Ministry of Human Resource Development Hires PG / Ph.D candidates in New Delhi, 2011

Applications are invited for filling up the following posts:-

Director, NCERT
No. of Post: 01
Scale of Pay: Rs.75,000/- (Fixed) + Special Allowances of Rs.5,000/-
Age Limit: Candidates shall not be more than 57 years old as on the closing date of applications.

Method of Recruitment:
(a) By deputation or short term contract on tenure basis.The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed five years or upto the age of 62 years of the candidate or until further orders,whichever is earlier.
(b) Selection shall be made by the Central Govt. on the recommendations of Search-cum-Selection Committee.

Tenure:
Five years from the date of joining or upto the age of 62 years or until further orders,whichever is earlier.

Eligibility:
Officers of the Central Government or State Govt.,Autonomous Organizations,Universities holding analogous posts on regular basis or in the scale of pay of Rs.37400-67000 (PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.10000 possessing the following qualifications:-
Essential:
(i) Ph.D.
(ii) Experience of working as Professor in the State or Central Universities or educational institutions of State or Central Government.
Desirable:
(i) First Class or equivalent degree at the level of Post Graduation.
(ii) Master’s or Ph.D. degree in education;
(iii) Impressive academic credentials and experience in the field of educational research and training;
(iv) Publications in journals,especially of education,of National and International repute.
(v) Administrative,organizational and leadership capabilities besides wide ranging interest in regard to conduct of research on different aspects of school education.
