Age: 18 to 50 years

Qualification:
1. Matric 1st Division OR Higher Secondary 2nd Division; OR 10+2 2nd Division OR 10+2
Vocational 2nd Division; OR Intermediate 2nd Division; OR Graduate of a recognized University; OR its equivalent. For Ex-serviceman Matric only.
2. Knowledge of Hindi / Sanskrit upto Matric Standard; Qualifies a test on Computer in Stenography in  English at the speed of 80 wpm transcription  thereof at the speed of 15 wpm (8% mistakes are  allowed).

Note:
The prescribed essential qualifications do not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The University reserves the right to short-list the candidates.  The decision of the University in all matters relating to acceptance or rejection of an application, eligibility/ suitability of the candidates, or the criteria for selection, etc. will be final and binding on the candidates. In addition to the duties of Steno-Typist, he/she will also be required to perform such clerical / ministerial duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Head of the Department/ Branch Officer.  No inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard. The number of posts can be increased or decreased according to requirements. The duration of the test will be 2 hours.  There will be 120 questions with four alternatives each having only one correct answer.  Each question will be of one mark and in total there will be 120 marks. There will be no negative marking. The University will shortlist the candidates for shorthand test by holding a written examination, by inviting candidates in order of merit by 10 times of the number of respective vacancies (category-wise), before interview.  Interview will be of 30 marks Reservation of posts for SC/BC/PH/Ex-Servicemen will be for Haryana Residents only and as per other conditions of Reservation Policy of State Government/University. Application form should reach the Sr. Administrative Officer (Estt.), Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra latest by 3/3/2011.  Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
