CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre invites applications for the following posts:

Scientist Grade IV
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + GP Rs. 6600
Age: Max 35 years
Qualification:
M.Tech./M.E. or equivalent recognized Post graduate degree in Structural Engineering with  First Class or equivalent CGPA  with
two years? experience*
OR
Ph.D in Structural Engineering

Desirable:
Candidates having  knowledge of advanced structural analysis and  design; familiarity with computer programming; use of software(s) and experimental techniques for structural engineering applications will be preferred.

Job Requirements:
The candidates selected would be required to work in any of the following R&D areas that would call for any or combination of analytical, computational, field, laboratory investigations;
[a]  Structural Concrete Engineering & Technology
[b]  Sustainable Materials and Composites
[c]   Retrofitting/rehabilitation of Structures
[d]   Computational Structural Mechanics for Analysis and Design & Software Development
[e]   Transmission Line Towers – Analysis, design, testing & evaluation
[f]   Metal Structure Behaviour
[g]  Fatigue  & Fracture
[h]  Structural Health Monitoring, Evaluation & Forensic analysis
[i]   Wind Engineering
[j]   Earthquake Engineering and
[k]  Interaction Problems

01. Candidates should apply   ONLINE. 02.  Candidates should submit with each filled up application a Crossed Demand Draft for `.100/- drawn in favour of  I.R.F,  SERC payable at Chennai towards application fee.  No fee for SC/ST candidates and regular employees of CSIR.  Persons with disabilities are also exempted from  payment of application fee subject to submission of prescribed medical certificate.
