Field Assistant
Pay Scale: `9300–34800/-, Grade Pay `4200 /-, (PB-2)

Qualification:
Degree of Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) from a recognised university
Job Duties:
To assist Assistant Field Officer/Field Officer in the Field to carry-out soil survey and mapping, procurement of base maps, collection of
agricultural, metrological and Socio-economic data.
Sub-Editor (Bengali)
Pay Scale: `5500–9000/- (pre-revised)
Age: Min 18 years & Max 25 years (Age relaxation is admissible as per Instructions)
Qualification:
i. Graduate from recognised University
ii. Degree in Librarianship (BLIS or MLIS) or equivalent qualification of a recognised University/Institution. Not less than 2 years experience of work in big library;
iii. The candidate should possess proficiency upto Matriculation or equivalent standard in the language concerned.
Job Duties:
1. Receiving books from the D. B. Act Section of the National Library and maintaining the statistics of books thus received, 2. Checking the
authorship of books received with the authority cards maintained in the Indian National Bibliography Section, 3. Cataloguing of books, 4.
Classifying the books, 5. Preparation of INB data sheet with diacritical marks, 6. Data entry of the records in computer, 7. Creation of subject directory, 8. Checking of the monthly issues of the bibliography, 9. Maintaining the publishers list, 10. Preparation and dispatch of request slips to authors and publishers for bibliographical details not found in the books received under the D. B. Act, 11. Preparation of the manuscript of the language bibliographies in language script, 12. Assisting Assistant Editors in proof reading of roman script monthly/Annual volumes, 13. Dispatch of books to the respective language section of the National Library, 14. Maintenance of monthly statistics, 15. Helping the English and Govt. Publications Section (Whenever there are large number of books or when any one of them goes on leave or when one person is busy in discharging other general duties)
Preservation Assistant (Grade I)
Pay Scale: `5200 – 20200/-, Grade Pay `2800 /-, (PB-1
Age: Max 26 years (Age relaxation is admissible as per Instructions).
Qualification:
B. Sc. with Botany as one of the subjects of a recognised University
Job Duties:
i) Maintain of laboratory equipment, scientific instruments and apparatus, chemicals and preparation of reagents, stains, graded alchohol etc.
ii) Attending to the regional flora collected in the botanical explorations, classifying them in their proper order and preserving them in the herbarium according to the latest herbarium method.
iii) To afford guidance to visitors to the Botanical Museum and explaining details about the exhibits, maintenance, preservation and replacement of the perishable collection of plants; and
iv) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Botanical Assistant
Pay Scale: `9300 –34800/-, Grade Pay `4200/-, (PB-2)
Age: Max 30 years (Age relaxation is admissible as per Instructions).
Qualification:
i) M. Sc. Degree in Botany/1st class B. Sc. (Hons.) with Botany/2nd class B. Sc. with Botany with 3 years experience
ii) Aptitude for systematic Botany as evidenced by having taken special papers in the subject having research or field experience.
Job Duties:
To assist the scientific research, prepare notes after consultation of literature, identification and cataloguing of Flora and studying them in
their various aspects in the field as well as in the herbarium and laboratory.
Library Clerk (Reprography)
Pay Scale: `5200-20200/-, Grade Pay `1900 /-, (PB-1)
Age: Min 18 years & Max 25 years. (Age relaxation is admissible as per Instructions)
Qualification:
i) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institution;
ii) A certificate in Library Science from a recognised institution; and
iii) A certificate in Photography from a government recognized institution
Job Duties:
Assisting the Assistant Library and Information Officer (Microphotography) in their works, at times of operation of Microfilm camera, Electric fax and Photocopy machines, processing of film, enlargement printing preparation of sols etc.
Scientific Assistant I
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – 20200/-, Grade Pay Rs.2800/-, (PB-1)
Age: Min 18 years & Max 25 years
Qualification:
B. Sc. (Agriculture)
Junior Hindi Translator
Pay Scale: `9300 –34800/-, Grade Pay `4200/-, (PB-2)
Age: Max 27 years
Qualification:
Master degree from a recognized university in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as Main subjects at the degree level
Or
Master degree from a recognized university in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and English as a compulsory subject at degree level
Or
Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as Main subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject with
recognized Diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa from recognized Institution or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or state Government offices, including Government of India

Fieldman

Job Duties:
Laying out of inventory plots and collection of data regarding trees from forest and outside forest

` 50/- (Rupees fifty only). The candidates should pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” 6only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office in such a manner that the impression of the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage. After getting the Recruitment Fee Stamps cancelled from the Post Office, the candidate may submit their application to the concerned Regional Office of the Commission in the usual manner after completing other formalities.SC / ST / PWD / Women Candidates / EXs are exempted form payment of application fees.

How To Apply:
EXAMINATION FEES as per Para 4 in this Notice [CRFS affixed and clearly cancelled on the Application Form]. One recent passport size photograph should be pasted (NOT STAPLED) on the space provided in the Application Form. Another copy of the same photo should be retained by the applicant for pasting it on the Bio-Data/Admission Certificate. Documents in support of claim of SC/ST/OBC/PH/EXS/CGCE category in the prescribed FORMAT [APPENDIX-I to VI] issued by the Competent Authority [See ANNEXURE], as mentioned at Para-14 in this Notice. Attested copies of Matriculation certificates or equivalent as a proof of age (Date of Birth), copies of certificates/Year wise Marksheets/Provisional Certificates towards proof of Educational Qualifications (beginning from Matriculation Examination as indicated at Column 17 of Application Form) etc. Particulars printed on the back of the mark sheets / certificates should also be photo-copied invariably and attested by a Gazetted Officer of Central/State Government. APPLICANTS MAY SUBMIT SELF ATTESTED DOCUMENTS ALSO.
